Accenture has made significant leadership changes in its AI and cybersecurity divisions, underscoring its commitment to innovation and expertise. Stela Solar has been appointed as the company’s Generative AI and AI transformation lead while also heading its health and public service practice. Previously, Solar served as general manager of the National Artificial Intelligence Centre (NAIC) and spent a decade at Microsoft, where she advanced to global director of AI solutions sales and strategy. Her extensive experience positions her to drive Accenture’s AI initiatives forward.
Mary Attard has assumed the role of A/NZ head of cybersecurity, succeeding Jacqui Kernot, who has moved to Thales as CEO of its local Tesserent acquisition. Attard, who joined Accenture earlier this year from PwC, brings expertise in digital identity and access management, having led PwC’s specialized team in the area. Her leadership will be instrumental in strengthening Accenture’s cybersecurity capabilities across the region.
Accenture’s data and AI division has also seen key appointments. Alex Trott, a nearly three-decade veteran of the company, has transitioned from his role as banking sector lead to managing director. Danielle Malone joins as managing director from KPMG, where she led the AI division after previously working with PwC. Both bring deep expertise that will enhance Accenture’s capabilities in data and AI.
Recently, Accenture launched a new AI studio in Canberra, a significant step in expanding its AI innovation footprint. The event was attended by high-profile leaders, including A/NZ CEO Peter Burns, Accenture executive committee member Louise May, and APAC responsible AI lead Tej Randhawa. This facility aims to support advanced AI solutions and responsible AI practices, reflecting Accenture’s leadership in this transformative field.
These appointments and initiatives illustrate Accenture’s focus on remaining at the forefront of technology consulting and innovation. By bolstering leadership in AI, cybersecurity, and data, the company is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of its clients and drive transformative change across industries. With experienced leaders like Solar, Attard, Trott, and Malone steering critical areas, Accenture continues to solidify its role as a global technology leader.
